The interpreting booth is an area designated for interpreters, which is equipped with multifunctional equipment such as headphones, microphones, channel switches and more. It is a demountable and portable cabin overlooking the meeting room. A good view of the speakers is a great advantage for the interpreters, facilitating the interpreter’s work and allowing him/her to perform well. For each language combination there is usually one interpreting booth with two interpreters. The requirements for interpreting booths are defined by international standards ISO 2603 (small table booth).
